In September 1995, TJ Elsdon Construction Ltd began trading. A lot has changed since then. Buildings have changed. Regulations have changed. Client expectations have changed. Projects have become more complex and the way they are planned, managed and delivered has moved on considerably. We have changed too. What started more than three decades ago has developed into a business delivering commercial and industrial refurbishment, roofing, civils, fit-out, planned maintenance and wider construction projects for clients across the UK. And while the type and scale of work has evolved, some things have remained remarkably consistent. Good communication matters. Planning matters. Relationships matter. And when things do not go quite to plan, as they occasionally do in construction, dealing with them quickly and properly matters even more. What 31 years teach you Experience is not simply about how long you have been in business. It is what you learn along the way. Over 31 years, we have worked alongside clients, building surveyors, asset managers, consultants and professional teams on projects of all shapes and sizes. That experience helps us understand what those teams need from a contractor. They need people who communicate. People who understand the programme. People who can make sensible decisions when circumstances change. And, ultimately, people who do what they said they would do. It sounds straightforward. We think it should be. The TJ Elsdon of today We are proud of our history, but we are much more interested in what comes next. TJ Elsdon continues to develop its project capabilities while strengthening the reactive and planned maintenance support we provide to clients managing commercial and industrial property. That means being able to support clients across individual projects, major refurbishment programmes and ongoing maintenance requirements. It also means continuing to invest in our people, systems, and supply chain so that the business evolves to meet the needs of the clients we work with. Still building There are plenty of people who deserve a thank you for helping TJ Elsdon reach 31 years. Our team, past and present. Our clients. The building surveyors, consultants and professional teams we work alongside. And the supply chain partners who help us deliver projects every day. We are enormously grateful to all of them. Thirty-one years is something worth being proud of. But we are not finished yet. 31 years. Still building.
